I’m shooting a Campbell’s Soup commerical, because, apparently, I am just that wholesome.
I mean the guy auditioning with me (and by auditioning I mean holding out a red pepper all enthusiastic like) said: “You look wholesome. I would buy vegetables from you.”
Point proven. If the stranger says I look wholesome, then I just am.
Thank you, stranger, and thank you ad agency for seeing the wholesome me inside…me. Or the wholesome image I project. At least when I put on a plaid shirt and pick up a hoe.
I’m a farm worker in the commerical. Did I mention that part? Strong but with a gentle and familiar approach. A salt of the earth person. More comfortable outdoors than in, having worked with my hands my whole life. Basically how I have always perceived myself. Finally the world will see.

Hey – well, at least you can feel good about the product. Campbell’s does more for the Daily Bread Food Bank than any other agency. The history of the company and their values statements are pretty impressive for a big company too. (And, BTW, the president and VP have both read and been enthusiastic about Bent Hope.)
Now about the wholesome thing. Guessing they are wanting your best Half-pint, not a Nelly, right? Even in Walnut Grove, things just weren’t simple. Sigh.
Anyway, I would buy vegetables from you too. And that says alot about you, because I never buy vegetables. I don’t like vegetables. I just like you.

You’re so freaking wholesome that I have you booked to come talk about raw foods in my summer fitness program…it would be really effective if you grew what you bring. Get on that please.
