I like Jordan's decisiveness. A wise man. That sounds like a most excellent holiday. I hope it also included many delicious treats!

I LOVE THE WALLET! Your hubby has a refined eye for nice things, I'd say!

I also enjoyed Star Trek much more than I thought. I definitely used to be a trekky (even dressing up like Deanna when I was in grade 4 and going to school dressed in said attire)... I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical when Jordan brought it home, but I was really surprised how much I really liked it. It actually made me cry in the first 10 minutes. Is that possible??

We definitely did some decadent movie watching while Earl, Marion and Rachael were here. Jordan announced that the purpose of this holiday was to "relax." We were not allowed to plan anything except relaxing. We did manage to go to Nanaimo for one day and made it up skiing another, but once the purpose of the holiday was established, there were no complaints or questions about doing anything productive. We were productive. We relaxed.

I'm going to try for 8 holiday highlights as well. you've set the bar high, i dont think i'll have time to elaborate as much as you. or be quite as witty!

in no particular order:

1. seeing Pam and Larry over the Christmas holidays. a glorious reunion after a four year separation!

2. sleeping in the dome loft as the snow was falling. (its up a little ladder, then you crawl into the sleeping area, when you lay down and look up the entire ceiling is a huge domed piece of glass. all you can see is the tops of trees and the sky! its the coolest thing EVER)

3. Julia&Julie. Or Julie&Julia. whatever. LOVED that movie. (Bec - reminded me of you)

4. Christmas morning with my hunny. It couldn't have been better. A sleep in, lovely gifts that made me feel loved and spoiled and then a gorgeous walk in the sun with our coffees in hand! (can you BELIEVE the coffee shop up the street was open? Christmas morning??? a Christmas miracle!!)

5. this gift tag says "from the man in love with you."

blank stare.

"babe, you've never told me that before!"

"hmmm" he says, "no i guess i haven't"

(end of conversation)

6. teaching ourselves to play crib on the ferry. this one is a bit of a stretch as crib requires MATH. in your head. in public. three things i'm totally against!

7. Dinner with my dear friends Frazer and Don at a lovely little french restaurant on 4th avenue.

8. Baileys in my coffee every morning all through the coffee season. yessssssss.
