An update: My youtube video—the one where Simon cuts my bangs—has now had something like 42,000 views. As such it is now considered a ‘popular video.’
Who knew that so many people would want to watch this (including ‘bebobitch’—look for his enlightening comments):
Because it is popular (according to youtube), I was contacted about setting up an advertising partnership. That is if youtube approves it. If they don’t approve it, they might just remove the video entirely. Aren’t they so threatening? For the love of…you contacted me youtube! Why you gotta be like that?
Now here are the ‘rubs’—the things that make me want to go, ‘FUCK! Why can’t anything be simple?’
Rub #1: Google, of course, owns youtube. And remember how Google banned me from their Ad program because my mom was reading and clicking on too many of their flipping ads? She was absorbing far too much advertisting. Thanks a lot, Mom, for hindering my earning potential. You were too diligent and cared too much…and I didn’t read the fine print.
Rub #2: Even if I figured that one out and wrote enough pitiful pleading letters to Google, we have background music in our video. This means I would have to contact Boards of Canada and get worldwide distribution rights for the song we flippantly added to create mood!
Now doesn’t that make you want to go, ‘Fuck!’ Everybody now.
Sigh. I’m gonna go unwind in a luxurious bath.
