WHAT I’M EATING: Deer steaks, strawberry ice cream made from real Ontario strawberries, and green olives before bed.
WHAT I’M WATCHING: Six Feet Under, a series that has Simon and me completely hooked. Unfortunately (or fortunately) our grubby hands were unable to obtain all six seasons, otherwise we would have experienced our entire cottage excursion on the couch (’cause frankly, who really needs the sun when you have television excellence?).
WHAT I’M WEARING: A one piece bathing suit that garners much attention from my lady friends. (Yes, my lady friends.) At which point I proudly declare: “Five euros, Ladies. Five euros.”
WHAT I’M ENJOYING: Observing my daughter transform herself into a shake and bake. All she needs is an empty ice cream container, a beach and a spoon.
WHAT I’M READING: Possession by A.S. Byatt, winner of the 1990 Booker Prize. I am having a lot of trouble getting into this read. The cover suggests hot romance, but so far it’s just a lot of hard words. Bathetic. Disporting. Adduced.
WHAT ELSIE’S READING: “Said the mother mouse to her child, I love you as much as there is grain in the mill.” Anthropomorphism and limited mouse love. Simon is unhappy with our selection of children’s books.
WHAT I’M SNIFFING: The coffee grounds in our new hand grinder. It’s a beauty. Hand cramps and all.

I am about to look up all three words and maybe I am giving my students stuff that is too hard…maybe.

what i’m enjoying: that warm fuzzy feeling in my stomach
what i’m reading: i currently have no time to read and it pains me.
what i’m sniffing: fresh cut lawn… like every few days. that grass grows like a weed!
