This photo was taken Saturday morning pre-Elsie peeing on me but post-Elsie choking on the strawberry—two events I took in stride. Strange that I keep having dreams in which people accuse me of being high strung. So not true.

Okay, fine, once in a while on edge. But staring at the sky definitely helps. I recommend this action to all creative types suffering any kind of artistic block or those afflicted with general anxiety or those who have financial woe. Me and the sky were very much one for a good portion of Saturday afternoon.

This photo was taken in front of our Vran and Gertie Show venue. All went well except for the fact that Elsie had a wee melt down. Simon and Elsie were forced out of the coffee shop (the show must go on!) and into the bus shelter as it teemed rain. This rainbow emerged at intermission.

Sunday morning was our usual. Church, eat, sleep and then eat again many times over. My grandpa is modeling the sleep portion here.

Then of course Sunday afternoon Elsie learned to crawl. All in all, everyone feels accomplished. Not that I’m all about accomplishment or anything. That kind of nonsense is reserved for high-strung people who don’t know how to turn off the dial. Me, I just put my feet up between heimlich-ing my child.

Hey this is weird, I had a child pee on me (in my face), had a child choke on me, was outside gardening under the sky, saw the rainbows from wayyy North of where you were and one of my kids walked for the first time. Funny eh, I guess I don’t have to be a parent, did we have the same weekend???
