For the week of Nov 23-29:
WHAT I’M READING: The Portrait of a Lady by Henry James. Yes, it’s a big read for someone with mashed potato brains. But I like to keep myself in a perpetual state of agitation. And carrying around a book that weighs Elsie’s body weight certainly does the trick.
WHAT SIMON’S READING: He is steeped in scientific papers, which by the by is not so good for evening banter. By the by.
WHAT I’M WATCHING: Apparently not enough news. I for one was unaware of the proximity of the fires. I’m sorry, Mom, for not reporting back regarding our safety.
WHAT I’M LISTENING TO: Getting Things Done by David Allen. Very dry, but worthwhile. Processing system here. Next action items there. I will soon be a productivity machine and this blog will be the benefactor. Note: Husband is sharing his ipod. Wonders never cease.
WHAT I’M WEARING: Simon’s T-shirts. They make excellent pyjamas and all around lounge gear.
WHAT I’M EATING: American Thanksgiving…in my mind. This daydream will become reality on Thursday when we partake of our first American turkey dinner. We are excited. Thanksgiving is a very big deal in America. Elsie and I are going to do a turkey craft to pump us up for the festivities.
WHAT I WISH I WERE EATING: Hard boiled eggs. Pas de eggs in our fridge when the craving arises. There is no appropriate substitute except maybe a nap.
WHAT I’M SNIFFING: Rain smell. Behold, it is raining in Southern California, which means you would be foolish to get in the car. Nobody slows down for slick roads in this town. Oh, no. Slowing down is definitely for lame people. Lame people who respect their limbs.

what i’m reading: PADI open water diver manual, lonely planet thailand: islands and beaches, yoga at home by yoga journal and the 4-hour work week.
what i’m watching: i saw quantum of solace last weekend. huge james bond fan so thought the movie was great. tons of action.
what i’m listening to: starsailor. cant get enough of this band.
what i’m wearing: jeans to work today! apparently we are having an all day mandatory team building day. that’s all they will tell us.
what i’m eating: cereal. out of a box. sorry guys.
what i wish i were eating: simon’s hot cereal. maybe i’ll make some tomorrow.
what i’m sniffing: ollie’s nose. but only cuz he’s sniffing mine!!
